I am a South African MBA graduate from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School. Before my MBA I worked as a financial journalist and later, as one of the few GMAT prep instructors on the continent.
When I first started my MBA journey, I hit many of the challenges that students from Africa face. There are outstanding candidates from Africa who should be in top MBA programmes. Admissions officers are always looking for exceptional candidates. Yet MBA candidates from Africa make up just 2% of top international programmes.
